Privacy Policy

This website is the personal portfolio of Kris Lamba. It is deliberately simple: there is no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking. The only personal information it handles is what you choose to give — your name and email when you sign up to the newsletter, or the details you send through the contact form. This page explains what happens to that information.

Who is responsible

Kris Lamba is the “data controller” for this site — the person who decides how your information is used. For any question about your data, or to ask for a copy or its deletion, email info@krislamba.com.

What we collect, and why

• Newsletter. When you subscribe, we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your first name. We use these solely to send you the occasional studio newsletter. The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by subscribing and can withdraw at any time.
• Contact form. When you send an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, your message, and — only if you choose to add them — your phone number and country. We use these solely to read and reply to your enquiry. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch.

We never sell your information, and we don’t use it for advertising or profiling.

The services that help run this site

A few trusted third parties process data on our behalf so the site can function. Each only receives what it needs for its task:

• MailerLite — stores the newsletter list and delivers the emails. Your name and email are held there. See MailerLite’s privacy policy for details of their handling.
• Formspree — receives contact-form submissions and forwards them to us by email. Your submitted details pass through Formspree. See Formspree’s privacy policy.
• Behold — supplies the Instagram feed shown on the Feed page. When that page loads, images are fetched from Behold (and Instagram’s content servers). This affects only visitors who open the Feed page, and involves the usual technical request data such as your IP address.
• SiteGround — hosts and serves this website. Like every web server, it automatically records limited technical information in its access logs — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — for security, troubleshooting, and delivering the site. These logs are not used to identify or profile you. See SiteGround’s privacy policy.

The fonts used on this site are served from our own server, so viewing the site does not send your details to any font provider.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. It uses a small amount of your browser’s local storage for one purely functional purpose: to remember that you have already seen (or dismissed) the newsletter invitation, so it isn’t shown again. This information stays in your browser, is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

How long we keep your information

Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe, after which they are removed from the active list. Contact enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up, and then deleted. You can ask us to remove your details sooner at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted; and to withdraw consent for the newsletter at any time. Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also email info@krislamba.com for any of the above. If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with how your data has been handled, you may also complain to your national data-protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date at the top.
